History is in the making and we are fortunate enough to be walking together on its marvellous path.
Just as darkness seemed to be inexorably settling in, G-d’s Invisible Presence is being felt by a vast majority of us, those who understand that Miracles happen in the most outrageous of manners, for otherwise, people would be unable to recognise Him, the Almighty One, the Creator of the Universe who is the Ultimate Ruler of the World and of our lives.
As I am writing these lines, breaking news announce that another massacre has taken place in Brussels.
Barbaric Muslim terrorists are behind explosions in various parts of the city, including one of the airports, and there were initially 21 dead and over 30 wounded, but those numbers seem to be only the initial ones.
UKIP MEP Steven Woolfe was in his apartment across from the Maalbeek metro station when the explosion went off this morning. Although Mr. Woolfe wanted to avoid getting into politics, he commented:
“There have been huge failings [in security] and it is unclear that the city is unsafe… if you have a man who has masterminded a plot that has killed so many people in Paris, and he is able to go back to Brussels and live in an area where terrorists are known to live, and the police only eventually catch him by accident because they are tailing someone else this shows a massive security failing by the European Union”.
This happens precisely on another Super Tuesday, when Utah Caucus and Arizona Primary are taking place.
Today’s savage attacks in Belgium come as a tragic and timely food for thought for Utans and Arizonans as they take the path to cast their votes.
In a different way, the Belgian tragedy is reminiscent to what Jews are submitted to in their own home, Israel. They have been enduring Muslim terrorism on a daily basis.
However, America can find solace in the view of a tall and powerful man, the republican presidential frontrunner, Donald J. Trump.
Yesterday, in his most sui generis style, Trump took over the American capital in a whirlwind day that could not have been more productive.
He had an editorial board with his arch-enemies, the Washington Post, that have not seen his candidacy kindly at all and have made no secret about it by presenting aggressive opinion pieces against Mr. Trump, plotting his demise, no less.
Yet he decided to see them face to face. Well done.
The editorial board meeting was, thankfully, completely taped and recorded, with transcript, and is available for the public to read here.
A Monday meeting with a group of leading republicans was held at Jones Day, the law firm of Donald F. McGahn, a Trump campaign attorney.
It was convened in part by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), a key Trump ally who was the first to endorse the presidential frontrunner.
Attendees included Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint, a former senator from South Carolina and a conservative movement leader, as well as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and former House Appropriations Committee chairman Bob Livingston (R-La.). A group of House members who have endorsed Trump also attended.
“We met with Senator Sessions and some of the great people in Washington,” Trump said. “We had a really good meeting. . . . They can’t believe how far we’ve come because, you know, I think a lot of people maybe wouldn’t have predicted that.”
For now, Trump initial advisers are Keith Kellogg, Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Walid Phares and Joseph E. Schmitz. They are members of the team chaired by Senator Sessions.
They are counselling Donald Trump on foreign affairs and helping to shape his policies. All are relatively known in foreign policy circles, and some, added the Washington Post, have had ties to the George W. Bush administration.
Trump also took the opportunity to show off his newest Washington, D.C., crown jewel to a group of journalists.
As the Washington Post reports: “Trump also sought to showcase his business acumen and dealmaking prowess. He staged an afternoon news conference at the historic Old Post Office Pavilion, which his real estate company is turning into a Trump International Hotel, a few blocks from the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue. The candidate, flanked by employees wearing hard hats, led journalists on a tour of the construction zone.”
The piece de résistance that day, however, was Donald Trump’s rendez-vous with history.
He addressed the omnipotent AIPAC, the American Israeli Political Affaires Committee, based in Washington, D.C..
AIPAC, a business-oriented organisation, is well known for custom-choosing their own presidents according to the political line of the occupant of the White House. So they could go left or right.
So, it is with no great astonishment that we learn that the lame president of AIPAC has rebuked Mr. Trump’s accurate statements about President Obama, for which he received standing and endless ovations, no less.
In all, Donald Trump delivered what I consider a soulful, masterful speech at AIPAC.
His tone was as usual, authentic, but more intimate.
It was as it he was home, talking to family, with sincere devotion and impeccable and unbiased approach to each of the topics he touched through the almost half an hour his speech lasted.
With each topic, he got closer and closer to the audience.
One could feel a symbioses between the speaker and the public, or as a common friend who attended the event described it to me:
“I was there and the electro magnetic waves created by his presence mesmerised the audience.”
His genuine allegiance to the cause of the Jews could be felt well beyond his words.
His polite and honest comments about the current president were civil and perfectly on target.
Yet, a day later, the pro-Obama AIPAC leadership is unsatisfied with that part of his delivery.
Too bad. 100% of the audience was in tune with Mr. Trump.
Once again, he also became their voice.
About his support of Israel: “In 2001, weeks after the attacks on New York City and on Washington and, frankly, the attacks on all of us, attacks that perpetrated and they were perpetrated by the Islamic fundamentalists, Mayor Rudy Giuliani visited Israel to show solidarity with terror victims.
I sent my plane because I backed the mission for Israel 100 percent.”
About Iran: “My number-one priority is to dismantle the disastrous deal with Iran.”
“Do you want to hear something really shocking? As many of the great people in this room know, painted on those missiles in both Hebrew and Farsi were the words “Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth.” You can forget that.
What kind of demented minds write that in Hebrew?”
This comment earned him one of the many standing ovations, very likely much longer.
About the United Nations: “Which brings me to my next point, the utter weakness and incompetence of the United Nations.
The United Nations is not a friend of democracy, it’s not a friend to freedom, it’s not a friend even to the United States of America where, as you know, it has its home. And it surely is not a friend to Israel.”
About Iran in Gaza helping Hamas and Islamic Jihad: “And in the West Bank, they’re openly offering Palestinians $7,000 per terror attack and $30,000 for every Palestinian terrorist’s home that’s been destroyed. A deplorable, deplorable situation.”
About Palestinian textbooks: “In Palestinian textbooks and mosques, you’ve got a culture of hatred that has been fomenting there for years. And if we want to achieve peace, they’ve got to go out and they’ve got to start this educational process. They have to end education of hatred. They have to end it and now.”
About moral equivalence: “There is no moral equivalency. Israel does not name public squares after terrorists. Israel does not pay its children to stab random Palestinians.
You see, what President Obama gets wrong about deal-making is that he constantly applies pressure to our friends and rewards our enemies.”
In all, a fantastic speech. He touched the guts of the Jewish attendees.
As an observant Jew, I can say that, unable to attended AIPAC, I have heard the youtube video a few times.
I have cried, in front of the disarming honesty and commitment of this man towards the cause of my people. That support dates from the times of his late father Fred, as he mentioned.
Ever since Donald Trump decided to run for the presidency back in June 16, 2016, his has been a galactic ride, beyond the imaginable, especially for his detractors.
For the few of us who knew more of him, it was no surprise that he became the titan who would resist all the storms and the hurricanes that no other normal human being could survive.
Sure enough, he has been attacked from all sides, the beasts wanted to stretch their devilish claws to catch him, and yet, attack after attack, he has valiantly stood, firm and sturdy.
That’s what I had dreamed of, that there would be a man that with all his being and might would want to save this over 330 million people country from demise.
A man that would fight beyond anyone would expect him to, because the prize was more than worthwhile
And Donald Trump is living up to my dream.
He has been the only candidate in the history of American elections who is self-funding.
He has often said to his public: “Until now I used to be greedy for myself. But now, we are going to be greedy for America.”
As a Jew I cannot take for granted this extraordinary man, whose courage and determination are incomparable nowadays when the laissez-aller and laissez-faire have terminally undermined the fabric of the human being at large, when men have been emasculated and women have been masculinised.
I know G-d’s Plan is being enacted as we speak,
Trump is the unlikely warrior fighting the fight of his life for America and Americans.
I have never seen anyone like him, caring for the people, truly loving them.
For, he doesn’t need any of this. And, yet, his detractors are ruthlessly after him, planning and plotting
None of their evil plans work.
As godless humanoids, they ignore that when all fails it is simply because Donald Trump is the G-d’s Chosen.
He has been groomed from his youth, with his parents and himself.
America is feeling loved by her next president.
How refreshing, after being humiliated, hated, attacked, stabbed in the back, undermined by the current occupier of the White House who, alas, has not yet finished his mission.
Trump loves his fellow Americans.
Americans are loving him back.
He also continues the same line with his own family, something that any reasonable and fair person could only admire and respect.
It was in a subtle and proud way, that Donald Trump ended his speech at AIPAC.
He said: “My daughter Ivanka is about to give birth to a Jewish baby!”
The audience stood. They went wild.
Another heartfelt standing ovation for the next president of the United States.
America is blessed with Donald J. Trump, the Chosen, whose Dripping Integrity gives him the moral authority to face victorious all challenges that are thrown his way.
G-d bless America
G-d bless Donald Trump
