BENADOR: NYC MAYOR HIDES ILLEGALS
Illegals who break the law of the United States no longer considered an asset but criminals living in the midst of unaware populations. Makes you wonder where have America’s values gone?
“The NYPD will not participate as immigration enforcement agents because we have, for decades, built a close working relationship with immigrant communities,” de Blasio said. “Our police force is not going to be out there knocking on people’s door, and it is not going to share information about people’s documentation status with the federal authorities.”
Blatantly challenging the Federal Authority, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio told the Russian Television International or RTVi, that the NYPD would not cooperate eradicating criminals off his city.
Does it get any more surreal than this?
Recently, the FBI probed de Blasio during four hours about “fundraising issues during his campaign in 2013. ”
In the aftermath of the probe the mayor who is hiding criminals, i.e., 500,000 illegals breaking the law of the United States, said:
“We have handled everything appropriately, always within the law – very high ethical standards and cooperated in every way asked regarding this investigation. I willingly went and provided that interview because I was happy to provide the information. That’s all I’m going to say about it.”
Unsurprisingly, back in April 2016, even the leftist New York Times run an article headlined: “Why Mayor de Blasio is Facing so Many Investigations.”
Since the Office of the Mayor of New York was established in 1665, many of the 109 men who have served in that post have attracted their share of scrutiny from commissions, constables, and prosecutors.
But historians have been hard-pressed to find a mayor who, along with his administration and inner circle, was ever the subject of as many simultaneous investigations — conducted by as many different agencies — as Mayor Bill de Blasio now faces.
“I can’t recall any other sort of perfect storm like this, coming from all those different angles,” said Daniel Czitrom, a professor of history at Mount Holyoke College and the author of “New York Exposed: The Gilded Age Police Scandal That Launched the Progressive Era.”
In fact, in the weeks before the publication of the Times column, over five separate inquiries — involving at least six different federal, state and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies — had come to light.
Four of these investigations focused on possible violations of criminal law.
Reportedly, the five inquiries were about money mostly about fund-raising linked to the mayor, his election campaign or a nonprofit group connected with him.
Democrat de Blasio elected in 2013 as Mayor of the City of New York.
He has openly explained that his attempts to raise significant sums are to bolster his agenda through the Campaign for One New York, and through an effort in 2014 to wrest control of the State Senate from the Republicans by supporting several Democratic candidates.
Evidently, his donors include major unions and real estate developers, and many of them have business before the city.
New York City, Sanctuary City
Under de Blasio, New York City is among one of the largest U.S. cities that proudly labels itself as a “sanctuary city” for illegal aliens.
Roughly 300 cities nationwide interfere with the Rule of Law of the United States.
Illegal immigrants are outlaws who break the law, they do not pay any taxes, yet they benefit from all perks given to citizens.
And yet the left treats those outlaws as royalty.
De Blasio & Co. argue that businesses gain from a local population of illegals who serve as cheap employees and as new consumers.
The Left’s Inconsistencies
“Cheap employees” sounds more like exploitation of human beings and weren’t the left, progressives, democrats supposed to defend human rights?
“Consumers” who, because they are “cheap workers” in reality would have little to contribute to the city, federal or national economic needs.
On the economic balance, therefore, the equation is clear: Illegals would be the bloodsuckers of any economy in any city or country they would choose to live in illegally for their benefit.
De Blasio’s Response?
Confronted with the highest legal troubles that any mayor of the City has ever had, one cannot but wonder how is surviving even to New York widely feared prosecutor, Preet Bharara?
Given that Bharara enjoys a pristine reputation there should be no doubt that de Blasio will meet his fate hopefully sooner than later.
Asked about the FBI interview, the Mayor said:
“I hold myself and my administration to the highest standard of integrity.” Seriously.
Meanwhile, Americans can visualize 500,000 illegal immigrants, that we know off only in New York City, voting Democrat in the last election.
